I dont think its wrong because its understandable if a person does want the memory if its a bad one. But i believe it should be kept because how you and the person ended should not be what matters. If you were in a relationship you had to be happy, whether it was a short period of time. The item should make you look back and smile what the good memories you and your ex share together.
